Classic early French Heavy/Speed metal!
In the grand scheme of things, this is an album that will come off as surprisingly good and ahead of its time in the context of its country of origin, but otherwise is more of a standard slab of old school metal when accounting for the more iconic material that was ruling the roost just prior to the rise of speed metal.
It's historical significance is beyond question, and any metal head in an interest in how the current crop of NWOTHM trustees discovered the sound that they have been continuing to revive will want to hear this.
The production is a bit thin and low-fidelity when compared against concurrent albums out of the bigger names in Germany and Britain, but the level of zeal and intensity behind the performance shines through and functions as a clear warning of more metallic happenings coming out of France in the years to come.
Expect an album that will occasionally shift styles in fits and starts, but also expect a consistently solid and power-packed listen from start to finish.
